Cherin is well- traveled and has taught in the squatters camps in South Africa, the remote villages in the Amazon and for twenty five years in a grade 5 classroom. She is passionate about using art as therapy within and outside of the school system. She is a true believer in the power of art to give joy to people. Art provides the opportunity for the passionate expression of peoples ideals, especially when the subject matter is drawn from personal experience and appreciation for the environment and our philosophy.
These interests have taken Cherin’s journey towards animal portraits, botanical art and landscapes of natural scenes, working in pastel, watercolour, graphite and acrylic. Her goal is to share her knowledge with others and encourage all people to experiment with art for their own personal joy.
Cherin has studied in Washington, Seattle, Holland and Toronto and hopes to share her experience with you. She has enjoyed participating in shows and galleries in the United States and Toronto, Canada. She is an executive member of the Central Ontario Artists Association, The Botanical Artists of Canada, Pastel Artists of Canada and Fine Art America.
